Luis Hernandez is the son of Encarnacion Hernandez and Antonia Pineda de Hernandez, the first two leaders of the Compania from 1848 to 1904. Carolina is the sister of Carlos Villalongin who took over the troupe after Antonia's retirement. Both Luis and Carolina were actors in the troupe during their tenure.
