Title A name given to the resource Sanora Babb & the Farm Security Administration (FSA) Description An account of the resource Sanora Babb was a writer and journalist who dedicated her life to bringing the truth to the public. Her own story started in Oklahoma and mimicked those of the farmers she was hired to document arriving in tent camps in California. In 1937, the FSA was established and its goal was to aid these migrants settle into collective homesteads. The FSA is the origin of most of the photographs we associate with the Great Depression and Dust Bowl today. There is a juxtaposition between the justice she sought to find for the subjects of her sister, Dorothy Babb's photography and the justice she was denied as a writer.
