This press release was signed by twelve religious organizations expressing their concern that the U.S. government was planning to infringe upon these organizations' First Amendment freedoms, immigrant rights, and privacy protections in response to the tragedy of 9/11. This release highlights the Muslim community's concern over terrorism being defined by arbitrary rhetoric and the increased surveillance of innocent citizens.
