Photo of chain gang prisoners working on a Georgia highway. Printer's annotations, most likely from the "Daily Worker", show how the image was to be cropped for the newspaper. Notes from Spivak on the back read, "A Georgia chain gang at work on a highway." Printer's annotations on the back read, "8624/4 Rush Today (Saturday), 4 inches wide, 55 screen, 7/1000 deep, Daily Worker". Additional annotations include where to crop the photo.
