Notes from Spivak on the back read, "A Georgia chain gang at work on a highway." Printer's annotations on the back read, "8624/4 Rush Today (Saturday), 4 inches wide, 55 screen, 7/1000 deep, Daily Worker". Additional annotations include where to crop the photo.
