Before creating her own publication, Josephine Lewis Skeehan made contact with the American Birth Control League. This letter is addressed to Mrs. Morton Keeney, one of the vice presidents of the ABCL at that time. The top margin contains annotations, presumably made by Mrs. Keeney, that say:

"Please return to S. Hanau / Should I answer this?"
