Description

The Dallas Youth Council included a newspaper clipping discussing an incident regarding police brutality and discrimination inflicted on "Essien Essien," a student from Africa.

Next to the clipping, a member wrote the following: "The NAACP Youth Council made a thorough investigation of this case and proceeded to send letters and newspaper clippings to outstanding musicians and organizations. Many did not reply. Letters were sent to President Eisenhower and Bobby Graham."
