A black-and-white photograph of Madeline Mason-Manheim and Arthur Symons at his home Island Cottage, Wittersham, Kent, United Kingdom. Photo taken in May 1926 per handwritten note on the back. In the photo, Symons is sitting on a rattan chaise with his feet up on a footrest, his head resting in his left hand, and a dark-colored umbrella leaning on the lefthand side of the chaise. He is looking into the distance away from the camera. He wears a light-colored suit, dark-colored dress shoes, and rings on his lefthand ring and pinkie fingers. Mason-Manheim is sitting on his right in a rattan chair and writing in an open book situated on top of another open book. Her hair is pulled back, and she wears a dark-colored dress with a scoop neck and short sleeves, a sheer undershirt with long sleeves and a square neckline, and a long necklace with a thin chain. The photo was taken outdoors with two trees, a hedge, and a house in the background; the chairs are situated in grass.
