Two-page Design Edition newsletter from South River City Citizens (SRCC), dated June 1976, combining an “SRCC Area Plan” map with a written discussion of neighborhood planning concerns. The first page focuses on transportation, zoning, pedestrian travel, and public transportation. It argues that heavy traffic on neighborhood streets such as Manlove, Woodland, Riverside, and Live Oak has altered residential areas and proposes redirecting traffic, reducing incompatible zoning, improving pedestrian routes, and linking neighborhood destinations via minibus service.

The second page explains SRCC’s block organization system and describes how block captains, area coordinators, and newsletters were used to keep residents informed and involved. It also lists ongoing concerns, including zoning cases, bus routes, school overcrowding, noise pollution, and neighborhood improvements. Together, these pages show how SRCC connected mapping, transportation planning, zoning advocacy, and resident organization as part of its effort to shape neighborhood development in South Austin.
